What is the best practice to show the following in both 2D & 3D.

1. Existing contour (3d) and existing contour lines (2d)

2. New contour (3d) and new contour lines (2D)

I would like the new contour terrain to show over the exisitng terrain, and to be able to plot new contour lines as well as existing contour lines. I would prefer to do it only once, utilizing the terrain feature with contour lines.

Would it be best to do two separate terrains, on two layers, and just turn both of them on?

ArchiTerra uses a simple object to represent the contour lines.
Nobody never asked for this issue but it makes sense!
So the faster and easier way could be the following:

1. Calculate the existing contour lines on the existing terrain
2. ArchiTerra calculates and inserts the Contour Lines object
3. Select this object and save it as Library Part: very important save it as binary
4. insert this object that represents a "snap-shot" of the existing situation
5. use the "normal" ArchiTerra feature to calculate/represent the contour lines in the modified terrain
