Archicad 10 on Macbook with Intel Graphics

I am wondering if anyone has installed Archicad 10 on a Macbook with the Intel integrated graphics. I am wondering how the 3d navigation and rendering stack up to the Intel Macs with the same Core Duo chips?

I guess to really get a good idea of optimum performance you would have to boot into window on both types of machines since 10 is not native yet.

Thanks for the feedback since I am considering a Macbook.

I would hesitate buying a system that relies on Intel integrated graphics". On PC's, "integrated graphics" uses system RAM (shared memory). I think you would experience performance loss. A system with a dedicated graphics card (with its own memory) would be preferable. That is my understanding, anyway.

There will definitely be a performance drop, but is the difference worth $900?

I think if you're running Archicad on a laptop,it's almost implied that performance is already secondary to convenience and mobility.

Couldn't a 128mb graphics card be added for $100-$200?

Graphic cards are not an option on the MacBooks.

To second my post on the other thread:

Watch out for the Intel GMA950 in the Macbooks and the mac Mini. It is OpenGL 1.4 only, not 1.5 compatible like ATI's cards in the old 12" Powerbook.

No Hardware Transform & Lighting. Apple wants you, as a "professional" to buy a MacBook Pro or an iMac or a tower. They all have full OpenGL hardware. They want you to spend at least $1500.
