[Archicad 14] Quick Layers Palette doesn't work

Anonymous
Not applicable
the palette stopped working, -> no buttons function

The only error I got was with a degenerated polygon with a slab
"SLA - 021'',
I deleted all the slabs with that ELEMENT ID , (there were 118 slabs with SLA-021 in my project)...

I thought maybe it was because of that, but the palette still doesn't work.
I can't switch between visible/invisible layers anymore.

LE: and it won't close either. Pressing on the small ''x'' does nothing.

(Running Archicad v14; because 15 and 16 are too sluggish for my system.
my laptop config is :
Intel COre 2 duo 2.1 Ghz; 4 GB ram; win 7 x64 bit; GPU is Ati mobility 4650 512mb/256 )

I don't know what is causing the palette problem, but here is a tip so you don't have to delete all those Slabs next time.
Basically you have to make sure each Slab has a unique ID. For this you can use the Document\Schedules and Lists\Element ID Manager menu command to set them.
Then you can again generate the 3D, the error message will come and with Find & Select you will be able to pinpoint the exact one Slab that is causing the error message. Then you can either modify its geometry to get rid of the error message or you can delete and recreate it, if that is the simpler way of handling it.

Lets try the following:

1. Save your project.
2 .Start a brand new project with New & Reset. That should also reset the palette positions.
3. Then reopen you project, possibly restore your Work Environment Profile, reopen the Palette, see if that handles it.
