Archicad 22 Renovation Filter Crash (Win10)

Takis
Expert
Bug I.D: AC22-2018-07-08-08-49-47-2134

The file was imported from Archicad 21 version .
After editing the project (structural elements), I did the following in the Existing Renovation Filter settings:
1. Override Existing Elements - click OK
2 . Show Existing Elements, Override Demolition Elements - click OK
3 . Crash.
4. Reopen file "Show Existing Elements, Override Demolition Elements" - click OK crashed again.
5. Reopen file "Change Renovation Filter to Demolition Plan", open Renovation Filter settings and make the default changes to Existing Filter.
6. File now is working OK but no changes are done in Renovation Filter settings for any Renovation plan.

Hello guys,

We looked into that crash, and it seems to be caused by an unfortunate state of multiple things. In the first update we are planning to patch a few of those, which should make this go away, but in the meantime here's what can be done about it:

- In Takis' project there are several Line elements in the floor plan with their 'Line Category' set to 'Skin Separator Line'. If you switch these back to 'Drafting Line', that should help. You can find these fast with Find & Select.

- The crash is triggered when you change the Renovation status in the Renovation Filter Options window, and then click OK. You can go around this, by setting up the Filters prior, and then only changing the Filters through the Quick Options bar/palette.

This is a user forum, and not the place to report bug ID's and crash details, although your report (other than the ID) may be helpful to fellow users. Sounds like a critical bug and super frustrating for you! 😞

If you did not add the reproduction steps and your email address to the crash log that you submitted to Graphisoft, please contact your local technical support to have it attached. Posting here will not do so.

Finally - for we users, and for GS - what do you mean by "Bootcamp" for your Mac Pro? Do you mean that you are running AC 22 under Windows under Bootcamp? If so, what version of Windows? If you are running under MacOS - then what version of MacOS?

Cheers,
Karl

Thanks, Takis. I've modified the subject line for this thread to clarify that I could be a bug limited to the Windows implementation. Will remove that if a MacOS user reports the same issue ... or if you happen to be able to try to reproduce under MacOS. 🙂
