Archicad 27 Mac Refused to Connect

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello everyone!

I’m experiencing issues accessing Archicad. I just installed Archicad 27 on my Mac, and when I open it, I get the message “You are offline” (please see PIC 1 attached). My internet connection is very stable, so I am unsure the issue is with the network.

At the same time, I noticed that I’m also unable to log in to Graphisoft via Chrome. The error message says: “graphisoftid.graphisoft.com refused to connect” (please see PIC 2 attached). I have already tried the suggested solutions for similar issues on the forum, such as clearing the cache and checking the host file. However, I’m not sure what to look for at this stage, as in the host file. Please see PIC 3 attached for the host file

Strangely, I am able to log in to Graphisoft using Safari on the same network.

Could you please advise me on how to resolve this issue?

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi,

I found this topic only now. I see it is not new - does the problem still persist?

Right now I have no access to a Mac, but your hosts file looks a bit strange.

Why are connections to services of Graphisoft  redirected to 127.0.0.1, which means localhost (=your own computer)?

Perhaps this is the reason why you cannot login to Graphisoft in ArchiCAD.

(I do not know how you can still login from Safari.)

I would try to edit this hosts file by placing a

mark at the beginning of each line under '::1 localhost', and then I would save the file and try to login again.

However, editing the hosts file shall be done with care and with simple text editors like nano.

Do you know how to do it safely?
