Installed AC 10 on 2 Macs. Installation (2 different discs) corrupted both operating systems to the point that both OS will have to be reloaded. MAJOR HEADACHE!

Which OS version do you have?

Jim, something must be wrong with your macs. I haven't heard of one OS or hardware problem (outside of Archicad and it's companions) caused by the installation of AC10, despite that the beta testers installed several versions of AC10 one after another. And the early ones had some significant bugs.

But of course, the usual safety precautions should be taken, as with any heavy program installation and system update:
- Upgrade to latest stable system release (check with MacFixit before installing Apple's fresh software updates)
- Full backups (i recommend SuperDuper)
- Repair permissions before AND after installation (especially Microsoft and Adobe tend to screw things up)

As a Beta tester, I've been working with AC 10 on Mac since the beginning of the development process.

No problems here, and my system is constantly facing new and changing software.

The cleanest experience ever.

Same here, no problems with installs on any of my Macs with any of the many betas, etc...

More details might help. Is there anything that might be considered unusual about your machines? How old are they? Which OS version? What display cards/drivers? Did you add no-name RAM? etc...
