Dell Laptop Workstation ? Spec's check please

can someone please review the specs on this Dell Workstation.
I'm in need of getting a workstation laptop and I'd like some opinions on the video card as well as the RAM and anything else you all can comment on with regards to AC15 and performance issues on video cards.

I'm torn between a good desktop replacement from Dell. the Precision Mseries...vs. an Asus laptop.

humm...brother..if I could only test both side by side.
Oh well..will have to take a chance when time comes I suppose.

I cannot tell you much about that area.
I have not worked on such projects in the last 6 months since I have this machine.
With the graphics I am pretty pleased. There was one or two times when some small display thing happened with this card, but after a zoom, pan or fit to all operation it corrected itself.

HP 8510w.....Core 2 Duo T7500 2,2GHz; 2GB RAM (max 4GB); Quadro FX-570M 256MB; 120GB Harddisk; 15.4" TFT WSXGA+ WVA (1680 x 1050).

It is on the bottom line if compared to the Laszlo´s ASUS notebook.

I would not recommend this HP laptop.
Its processor is a Core 2 Duo which means it is 2 full generations behind current processors.
4 GB of RAM is also not too much and would probably soon create a bottleneck.
120 GB of hard drive is very small by today's standards, it would get full very soon.
The graphics card may or may not be enough, I don't know Quadro cards well enough to judge.

i'm agree with what are you telling, but i have see the requirments and I think that it will work smoth.

i found my answer thank you, for showing me the Requirements.

I know that a newer laptop with a best configuration it will work better, but i think that this hp it will do his job.

I just came upon this thread.
Did you purchase the Dell M6600? I am considering purchasing one almost identical to your posted specs and would like to pick your brains if you did.

My hesitation is with the 1920 x 1080 resolution and some review comments that scrolling and panning is kind or "jerky" (reviewer words).

Also the way I figured, the difference between a 15.6 and the 17.3 display is about $500.00 I need the lap top for limited (a few hours per visit) in the field. Must working work are from my desktop. Is the large size screen worth the extra money.

All of these is very subjective of course but I rather obtain advice in this Forum than from a vendor at DELL.

The price here with the options I selected comes to $2696, plus another 200 for tax so as you can see it is not exactly cheap around here.
