Dimension Glitch? Level Dimension Tool with Composite Roof

Anonymous
Not applicable
I am using a composite structure for my roof to represent plywood and spanish tile. The plywood is a "core component"; the tile is a "finish". The partial structure display for the view is set to "entire structure"

Using the level dimension with gravity to the roof I get an elevation of 100.5'.
Looks good & agrees with dimensions in section view.

But then it gets weird..

When I change the partial structure display for the view to "core only", I get an elevation of 100.9'. This should be lower not higher, and it does not agree with the dimensions in the section view.

(I am using v.12 but ran this by a friend using v.14 who got the same anomaly)

Can anyone explain. Do you get the same?

I get the same, but you already knew that Drew. Also this appears to be limited to the roof tool, level dimensions attached to meshes (not having composites) are not affected, and (in my test) level dimensions attached to composite slabs behave properly with the partial model displays.

Makes me think this is a bug.
