Fill background pen not changing.

I tried to change the background fill pen in a 'fill', but it wouldn't change from transparent in the plan window. It did change in the dialogue window though. I was trying to make an informal patch to cover an unwanted wall. I also moved it to the top of the viewing order. Only noticed this in v8.1. In desperation I used a thick white pen - this did work.

v8.1, Dell, windows xp.

Any ideas?

Check Options > Preferences > Miscellaneous.

The fill background setting is probably set to "All transparent". Change to "Use elements' settings" and it should show as you wish.

In 7 ... 😉

I always forget to set it, as IMHO it should be in Display options, not in Preferences/Miscellaneous! Yes, there is a wish already! 😉

Yes, this one is long overdue for promotion from the Preferences/Miscellaneous probationary holding cell for new features.
