Grave BUG in AC9!!!

Anonymous
Not applicable
Two weeks ago I have created new project file to create some new GDL parts for OSL, also to test some new Add-ons for AC9 from Cigraph.

All was fine. I have saved the file and closed AC. But when I have reopened file and zoomed to all to fit all objects in window, I have found the largest Circles(there where 2+1 arc duplicates) that can be drawn in AC. I remember that the last action was creating somthing using ArchiSketchy Add-on, just to test it in AC9.
After deleting, I was trying to zoom in to fit drawings/objects in window, but it wsa unable. Zoom factor is always same 0.0000 %. Using select all objects (CTRL+A) I have deleted all objects, but this also didn't helped. It was/is still unable to go to home zoom.
I have played with this zoom problem very long and now have no idea, if it is possible to solve this anyway? But it's 100 % BUG! The question is only 100 % AC's OR 100%AC's+50%ArchiSketchies BUG?
Also I was trying to repeat this BUG, to find & understand behind of wich bush the bug is hiding, but had no "luck"!

I have attached here .pla file to demonstrate grave BUG.

I was about to say you willl need to make a PLA to share with the group, but the objects seem to be irrelevant!

Z.Bauer,
Have you checked at Graphisoft US Technical Resources,
<http://tr.graphisoftus.com/> record number 975 ?
Your issue sounds similar.

Hi Peter,

thank's for link!

Yes, sounds similar!

Here is record 975:

Subject: When creating new details, and entering info from other detail, info is missing.

Issue:
CASE STUDY:
Setting Home Zoom to something greater than 0.00000% (1-1000%) fixes his problem

The problem is that the home zoom levels in the details in the file <User_File> are way off (0.0000%). To check, go to Display menu, click Home Zoom. This is probably caused by the fact that the floorplan home zoom level is the same 0.0000%.This results in invalid coordinates of most of the pasted elements. Therefore they are deleted when saving or opening the file.

Solution:
To fix the file:
-Open each detail one by one (do it also for the floorplan)
-set a decent zoom level (1-1000%)
-In Display menu use "Set Home Zoom" to overwrite te wrong Home Zoom

ALTERNATIVELY

- delete all the details
- set correct home zoom for floorplan
- create new details

The problem is that in my case it's not possible to set to home zoom or change zoom factor. It's always same 0.00000%.

I forgot to say that how in record 975 is described, after reopening of file there was Warning dialog: something like this: "64 objects with incorrect co-ordinates where deleted".

Hello Z.Bauer,
I was hoping that that record would help, but I guess not.
Is there the equivalent of Graphisoft US Technical Resources
in Germany ?
If not, I wonder whether US tech support would be willing to talk
to an AC user in Germany.
I have found US tech support very helpful and responsive.
You can get the link to the tech support person dealing with an issue
right from the record.

Thank you,
Peter Devlin

I think the German GS Tech Support is just as helpful so he should just send the file to them with the bug report.
