HVAC model and drawings

We have to make the survey and drawings of an existing building, including basic indications of the HVAC.
For that reason, we bought ductwork
The first system we tried to draw has bottom connections instead of lateral ones
The model does not look so good, even for architect's drawings…
And the plans either, see next post and picture.

And...
The underneath duct can be set accurately by order management but the connector's bottom's "lines" remain visible.
Any help is welcome

Nobody use ductwork?
And no support?
The top-of-the-list AC add-on (and the most expensive)

I have never even seen it for sale, let alone seen anyone use it. It's been listed on the GS website forever, but I' don't believe I have ever seen it anywhere.

Tom,

I have a copy of Ductwork setting on my desk that my vendor "dropped off for review" 6 months ago and has never picked back up. I've looked at it but have never had cause to use it. I'd doubt if there is one mechanical engineer in the US that uses ArchiCAD. By the time we get a final duct layout from our consultants the thought of modeling ductwork "just for the fun of it" or because it might help find "conflicts" just isn't in the cards. I do see it's value, just haven't found anyone willing to pay to double enter the data.

Dave

PS: This underscores the problem with BIM in the fragmented US design and construction market. How does one get design information by construction subcontractors who design systems, such as fire protection, integrated into the building models early enough to do any good?

If I can keep on my subject, please.
We try to use ductwork for survey and visualisation purposes, not for US mechanical engineering.
Regarding the advertising, it is its function.
It was updated for AC9, so somebody has to tell me something about it, at least one of the moderators.

Find the user with the name of Ivan Jovanovic here ... he does have extensive experience with it.
