Hot key Problems

Wonder if anyone can help.
We run Archicad 7 and 8 on Apple Macs and have a problem using the drag a copy, mirror a copy hot keys in version 8. You are supposed to key 'Control and D' or 'M' then drag pressing the option key. This works intermittently or not at all. Is this a recognised problem or am I doing it incorrectly ?

Also when we drag and then press 'X', 'Y' or 'R' to key in a dimension Archicad doesn't highlight the whole number but just puts the cursor at the front of the digits that are presently there. This means that we then have to drag through the digits already there before keying new dims in - very time consuming or if we forget to do this the object gets displaced the wrong dimension. Is this a recognised problem or am I doing it incorrectly ?

I can imagine two ways this happens:

1. You issue the Drag-a-copy command, press ALT the little + sign does not appear at the cursor but it will drag a copy at your next click.
2. You issue the Drag-a-copy command, press ALT the little + sign does not appear at the cursor and it will drag the original at your next click.

If it actually does the drag operation, then it might be a problem with the graphics card driver, especially because taht might be the cause of your other problem as well.
This could be handled by downloading latest drivers for it.

Not pressing the Option. After invoking Drag, hit Option; a small + should appear by the cursor. By pressing it all the time, you are giving mixed input so that might be the reason why it sometimes works and sometimes does not.

Try also Alt Option for Multiple copy.
