I find archicad much slower with this new system sofware version. There is a hesitation with each action. it is painful. If i could i would go back to 10.0.2..

I have found 10.3 to be noticeably faster overall and in ArchiCAD.

Or are you referring specifically to a difference between 10.3.3 and 10.3.2? (I assume your reference to 10.0.2 is a typo since most apps, including ArchiCAD require 10.1 minimum.) I haven't noticed much of a difference in this latest update except for the improved networking.

it sounds as though you need to repair your permissions (Utilities/Disk Utility).

i have had no noticeable speed drop between 10.3.2 and 10.3.3 - but networking has become more stable and faster . . .

I didn't make myself completely clear.

I had, and was using Mac OS version 10.3.2. It was fine with Archicad 8.1.0 (1410).

I installed last night Mac OS 10.3.3. Then archicad was very sluggish.

I repaired permissions and things seem better, but for me at least still slower.

I wanted the upgrade specifically because my Mac G5, dual 2GHz had the problem that some peopole have had with the fans. They will, for no apparent reason all go on fulll blast at once and the only soluton is to shut the computer down. If you happen to have left the computer alone this full blast fan action will go on for hours until you get back. Anyway the latest 10.3.3 has a fix for this problem. As it turns out the fix was issued as an individual fix 1 day before the 10.3.3 version. i wish i had installed just the fan fix only.

While we're warning... My dual G5 has never had the fan issue I have read about, but the other day they went nuts while it was just sitting there. Earlier in the week I got 2 kernel panics. Not that this means anything, except to back up immediately. I didn't and lost 3 days work because this weirdness was all leading up to a processor failure. I am using 10.3.3 on my TiBook with AC and it runs fine, however I don't know how fast it should be anymore... but it really make me appreciate the G5.

I also have found no slowdowns with 10.3.3. When you find out the problem, please let us know.
