My color fills disappear!

I created color fills with the fill tool on my floor plan. Now when I open the drawing they appear for a second and disappear. I draw a closed polygon with the fill tool, click on the selection tool, marquee-select the polygon, and all the fills reappear. I delete the polygon; the other fills are still there. I click on one of the fills; they all disappear. Or I change the zoom and all the fills disappear.

If I were you as a first step I would upgrade to AC 8.1, which is a free upgrade and fixes many-many of AC 8's bugs.

Hello Laszlo!
I downloaded the 8.1 update and couldn't get it to load. I emailed Graphisoft and they said the update wouldn't work with the student version. I have since purchased ArchiCAD 9 Student Version, which loaded beautifully. Guess I'll be back to this forum if I have trouble in 9.
Incidently, the original problem, fill colors disappearing, has itself disappeared!
