Need help--ArchiCAD 8.1/windows experiencing crashes

I am using Arch.8.1 on a PC with Windows XP and 512MB RAM and plenty of hard disk. Been using it only about 4 months.

The last few hours experienced two crashes--one when clicking on a missing window (had not loaded the right library) and one when saving the project I was working on. (File Save As).

Does anyone know if this might be related to running on minimum memory? Any other ideas? Just defragged hard drives.
