When sending to our HP designjet 500 (with HPGL2 card) it tells me 'out of memory data was lost'
I can avoid out of memory when printing but not when plotting and I need to plot to get correct vector fills in the .dwfs.
Sometimes it is only a few lines that go missing but the seemingly random nature of it means that checking the drawing is like kim's game.
Any ideas?

Martin,
I experienced similar issues with my 500ps until I maxed out memory to 160mb. Try 3rd party memory, it was considerably less expensive than HP's.

Thanks Ted,
Will try that, hopefully the end to a lot of frustration.

Just as a note: I was not plotting, I was printing an AC file and checked the progress in the Printers part of the Control Panel in Win XP. My collegue had set some vectorial fills to very dense pattern which resulted in a 292 MB print file. I increased the sizes of vectorial fill patterns to 3-4 times their earlier size. The same print file became only 7-8 MBs. Interesting.
May be handy if you have very large print/plot file sizes.
