Just a bug heads up to the devs- not sure if this is the correct place to post.
I get a recurring prompt upon opening the ArchicadStarter as per the title and screen grabs below. Every time I select 'open project' or double click from the list BEFORE this prompt displays, the project will never open - it's a 100% occurrence. The cursor will just blue cycle until i force quit. If i cancel the prompt then double click open a project quickly it will open no problem; if i wait a few more seconds until just before the same prompt shows up again, it will freeze again as above. Perhaps it's a windows printer issue, but probably something GS should get onto as it disrupts the working day.
More recently a crash prompted the same message at the bugsplat window and it was unable to finish sending (or so it appeared) and i was unable to cancel out.
It 100% happens every time i start archicad so I'm happy for a dev to get in touch and work through diagnostics for a solution.
Side note:
I'm unable to see & edit my signature while creating a new post to see if all the necessary info is there; i understand that it's located elsewhere, but i would put to the forum builders that a better location is at the bottom of 'create new topic' where it would load your signature and enable editing, and auto store it for next time. It can be kept up to date more easily that way.

This is still fun in AC28 @Oleksandra Vakariuk
I'm not convinced the error report is going through, which im sure you can agree is starving GS of much needed data to resolve bugs.

The bug report is going through if you send it.
Be sure to add any extra information and your e-mail address.
Take note of the bug number and then contact your local support and ask then to follow it up.
Barry.

I hope so. But i've left it 24 hours before and still the green progress bar doesnt reach the end and automatically close as you would expect.
I have to force close in task manager.
The printer issue (for which i have tried everything to resolve) seems to be interrupting the bugsplat process.
Again i hope it isnt fully interrupting the information from being sent.

That is a problem then.
None of the previous suggestions fix the printer problem?
I would just contact your local support then and explain the issue and see what they say.
Barry.

The previous suggestions REDUCED the incidence of getting the message, in-fact the message was eliminated at the ACStarter project selection, but persists when closing or crashing.
And when i say persists, the message can show up to 50 or so times and positions itself where the cursor is, leaving one heck of a mess on the screen until force closed.
I would have expected the registry change fronted by @Oleksandra Vakariuk to have triggered a solution to the background coding since when this post was started (when on AC26) to now, AC28.

I am assuming it must be an operating system setting, but what it could be I don't know.
Could it be as simple as the default printer you are connected to is not turned on?
I am just guessing.
I use Windows 11 on my laptop but have not had this problem.
The OS is set to manage my default printer.
I have never printed directly from Archicad, I always publish a PDF and print that from a PDF viewer.
If I go to FILE menu > Print, the default printer is 'Microsoft Print to PDF' - is that the same for you?
Barry.

My process is the same: always publish, never print from within AC, and have never touched the print settings, so yes default is Microsoft Print to PDF.
An earlier suggestion of not allowing Win11 to manage my default printer didnt have much of an effect. I'll turn it back on and see what happens when i close AC.

Well with 'Let windows manage my default printer' back ON (having switched it off from previous suggestions) the message appears at ACStarter again, but only briefly and non-intrusively. And doesnt appear on close. So this is an improvement. I'll report back the next time AC crashes and what happens at the bugsplat screen.
I guess some background updates did occur and has helped, but ONLY IF windows manages the default printer. If not managed by windows, then bugsplats possibly are not getting through and I wonder what percentage of the userbase does not let windows manage the default printer.
So not solved. And kindof dumb that the humble printer, of which i personally have never printed to directly from AC, would cause crashing, annoying prompts and failed attempts to open projects. Still a bit of a major.

So after a while as per my post above, with "let windows manage my default printer" the annoying pop up is back at the bugsplat when AC crashes, and prevents the diagnostic information from sending out. Pleeeeeease fix it
