License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Plotmaker 9 Not yet read/ Not in cache

We frequently open different projects in PM9 and under Drawing Usage in the Status field have many "Not yet read" and "Not in cache" notices. Is there a way to prevent this and eliminate the time consuming process of Updating these linked drawings? Please note that no linked files are moved at any time. XP Pro, Dual Xeon, 2GB ram, Raid 2 stripe.
Thank you. Scott
AC27 v. 4060 w/ MEP, Cadimage, Twinmotion 2023.2.2 using AC from AC6.0, 2021 MacPro M1 chip, Adobe CC. Used AC on both platforms.

Not yet read happens if you link an already placed view to another file. You HAVE TO do the update after that. Use coffee and lunch breaks for updating.

Not in cache means that you are not saving your LBKs with the cache data included; yes, it does increase the size of the LBKs, but they are also portable, and it saves you the time ultimately.

Always save after an update, of course.

Djordje, Thank you for your clarification. AFA your quote, should I reset the radio button in the PM9 Preferences cash folder from "save cache data into a folder" to "include cache data into layout book"? Thanks again.

Yes, you want to "Include Cache Data into Layout Book." Be ready for some HUGE layouts. We have one that is 260 MB.

Is there any speed difference between caching to a drive and saving the cache in PlotMaker?

It's a lot slower saving and opening with the cache saved in the LBK, but you do not have to update every time you open the book. (BIG payoff on bigger jobs).

We had one LBK that was about 260 MB, and took 5 minutes to open, but if we turned off the caching it opened in less than 1 minute, and took 45 minutes to update from BGArchicad.
