WIBU KEY INSTALLATION PROBLEMS

Hi there,

I have a problem related to WIBU key installation, after having WIBU key installed and tried to open ARCHI CAD it gives me following error:
"Wibu key not found or valid, run in demo mode". I have WINDOWS XP PRO and not sure how to solve the problem. I have just started using ARCHICAD and appreciate your help.

Did you restart the operating system after installation?

I am not sure I know what you mean under that. Can you give me a clue. If you think of restarting the computer, I did that.

Yes, that is what I meant.
You can go to Control Panel\WIBU-KEY and check there if the hardware key is visible there.

If you have Windows XP, the following article may be related:

You may also try to uninstall ArchiCAD, then reinstall it again.

Another point is that you must have Administrator rights on the computer for WIBU drivers to install.

Silly question but do you have the key in your USB port?
Is the USB port faulty - try another one?

Thanks I got it, it was USB port deficiency
