anyone else notice, if you walk away from your computer for an hour or two, particularly on mac when it tries to 'go to sleep', it tries to shut down archicad? I've also left ac open over night (yeah, I know thats bad, and I don't take my own advice on this and so many other things) to find that ac is closed the following morning, with no bug report or crash recovery...

If it generally works around the same number of times then crashes the following time, it kind of sounds like a memory cache issue? Where it is dumping things into the memory on sleep, then not clearing when waking up? Hence it eventually maxes out and crashes to prevent a system freeze? Not sure how macOS manages memory, but you can probably monitor it.

well... I have 1TB free space, and 128GB memory... so... how many herse pewers do I need in a computer to keep it from crashing?
