When I go to the help menu to check for updates nothing happens. When trying other links in the help menu I get the message "cannot find html file or viewer" I have tried to disable my firewall. Does not help.
Do I really have to reinstall?

Sounds like somehow your system does not have a working browser set up as the 'default browser'. If you click a URL in a mail message - does your browser open? All AC does is send the URL to the default browser...

Could it be because I changed from Firefox to Internet Explorer (because of some netbanking issues) since I last installed ArchiCAD.
The URL in a email message opens the link with no problems.
