cinerender crash with archicad 20

Hi,

In archicad 20 cinerender is not working. In the surface palette when switching to cinerender settings the previews stay black and I get an error message saying:

Cinerender by maxon add-on has unexpectedly stopped working
Archicad should be restarted.

I get the same error message when trying to render a 3d view.

I tried repairing archicad to no avail.

Any idea on how to fix this issue ?

Thanks

I know this is an old thread but this was my solution.
Archicad21 on an old macPro 3.1 El Capitan. CineRender running beautifully until I decided to migrate my hdd to an ssd. Then the same CineRender message as per topic
However, if I boot the computer off the old hdd and run AC21 and access files from the ssd then CineRender is running as normal.

I have no idea why!!!! Some hardware glitch. So if anyone has recently ungraded a drive (or any other hardware for that matter, that may be the cause of the bug.
For me I do all my work booting as usual from the ssd but when I start rendering I reboot from hdd. Odd and somewhat inconvenient but hey, it works. Hope this helps some of you.

I would be guessing, if you are booting from two different drives, you effectively have 2 different operating systems.

They may be the same OS, but the settings are different.

I would be guessing it is different video drivers.

I performed a migration from hdd to ssd, so all files and settings were a perfect mirror making it impossible for any settings, drivers or preferences to be changed. Puzzling 🧐
