display options - line weight

Anonymous

when i set line weight in display options to "true weight" the effect is miniscule compared to when set at "hair lines". its a useless setting to me because when i get to plotmaker and view line weights there they are represented correctly and its always a surprise.

this is a real problem for me.

there is no differece with line weights on my screen whther its set to "true weight" or "hair lines". no difference at all with line weights.

my build is 2045 USA. V9 mac g5.

it doesn't matter what scale the drawing is viewed at.

I'm really not sure what else to recommend. It's always worked fine for me.

Donald,

In your 2D settings, have you enabled 2D acceleration (OpenGL)? If so, turn it offf and see what happens. There is really almost no advantage to enabling OpenGL in 2D ... and it could be that there is a problem there that is causing what you see.

In 8.1, this was a Preference. In 9, this is in the Work Environment under 2D Redraw Options. Make sure you have not checked "Optimize drawing method for high performance display". (Or, what the heck, if it isn't checked, try checking it and see if that helps.)
