While attempting to open Pagemaker I received the error message, "please do not modify the resource file". Now I can get no further.....I cannot open pagemaker v3.1 Archicad 8.1.......It worked just fine yesterday??
Run the antivirus software that you have and clean the intruder!

Djordje - why the knee jerk response? It's not a virus, I had the same issue when I updated 8.1 to r2 plotmaker seems to lose it's links to resource file. A simple reinstall of plotmaker seems to do the trick. I been reading some of your comments in the forum, why must it always be a virus and not a bug on graphisoft's end?

But thanks for letting us know, now we know there are two possible causes for this message we are aware of.

Understood, it just seemed to me that more than just a virus could change the file.
It seems to be an issue with the plotmaker user info/registration information.
If what is typed in (i.e. Name and Company) during the installation of the update (8.1 R2/V2) does not match what was typed in during the original installation (8.1.0) I got the resource error. Might be good to have update installations look up that info rather than re-entering. Strange that, the user data should cause such a lockup, as most users overlook that kind of install info. I usually enter a series of letters just to fill the fields.

Good that you found out the cause - as Laci said, good to know! What beats me, is why do you not input the correct data in PlotMaker
