does archicad support professional graphic cards (like fireGL or quadro)?
if yes, does it have any advantage over regular gaming card with the same chip?

Thats why it would be nice to see some of the following in action:
390 (8gb) - 330€
980Ti (6GB) - 700€
Titan (12GB) - 950€
Titan old with double precision (6GB) - used
780Ti (3GB) - used 300€
Fury (4GB HBM) - 700€
970 (3,5+0,5GB) - 330€

All we get is a year old GTX 750, which is on par with Iris Pro 6200 in Skylake CPUs.

Please test your GPUs with that file - http://www.graphisoft.com/ftp/techsupport/downloads/ac18/ArchiCAD18_Speedtest-v2014.pla

So we can make a true comparison between gaming and pro cards
What exactly am i testing? and how would we compare?

Take a look at this:

It would be very nice to see similar things for Windows 10 and Archicad 19.
This video shows, how misleading some information is. Especially about performance and VRAM usage.
That information is there, just really well hidden. The Acad figures and some research tells you that the model on this video can fit into 2Gb GPU memory, so any more than that is pointless.
Stick a few more trees in and then the difference becomes apparent, once the 2Gb card starts sending info to normal memory it'll choke.
I also did some testing recently for my client, there were 10 apartment buildings, benches, lamps, roads, a lot of trees...

There was no difference between an old 760,770, (100-150€) and a brand new 500€ 980.
K2200 is identical hw structure as gtx 750 altough the later is 5x slower.
ok.... i thought its because its a quadro.

but then I see the recommended list on graphisoft and the 560 is faster than the K2200.

Now I really don't understand anything anymore concerning arhicad and this was not the first time either.

I think I will stop recommending archicad to my clients, since its runing slower on new and obviously faster hardware.
