Arch Door Issue

I am using the arch door and I am getting a gap between my casing and the actual door arch. I have a 9' tall door and I have the spring point of the arch set at 8'.

I have changed the spring point to see if maybe my numbers was causing the graphical error but the gap it creates gets worse.

also have this extra line outside of the arch. My plan is to create this door in the sketch. I dont mind having to model the thick surround as a separate piece, I mainly need to figure out this gap issue I pointed out in the photo.

This is the sketch I am creating.
Does it help to bump up the curve resolution to something like 90 or higher?

I tried that, it was at 32, I set it to 90, just smoothed it out, gaps remain. Its like the casing is out of alignment. I have also thickened it and thinned it out, nothing makes the trim follow the curvature.
this is just bad math. The only arch doors that dont do this are cadimage and some custom stuff i made for myself because of this issue. at least that i have found.

I just decided to remove the casing because I was going to be modeling highly specific surrounds for the doors and windows anyway. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't some small change that would make this work.

Windows and doors are my biggest gripe about AC. Just wish you didnt have to buy other stuff to make something work.
