Hello Graphisoft Community,
We are currently trying to go more BIM based with our company, we are getting most of our BIM based objects from https://www.bimobject.com, seems to be one of the best we have found. Some objects are abit hit and miss, but others great with links to manufacturers, install instructions, technical manuals etc.
As a community would like to know what everyone else is using / have you found any other good places to download BIM objects? Ideally native Archicad formats... a lot seem to be aimed at Revit 🙄.
A link share...🎉🎉🎉
https://www.bimobject.com/en/velux/product/gpu?native=true&software=archicad
The above link is a great one made by Velux, it has (i think) all their products in one LCF file, pitched and flat roof skylights, high detail level even in section, flashing details, roof tile types, colours, can also add blinds and shutters etc. all with product numbers. level of options is crazy. It even has sun tunnels.
Would be nice if Archicad generally could have more this level of detail on windows, doors and skylights at standard.
Things are progressing, lets see what Archicad 28 onwards provides...
Operating system used: Windows 11

I only had luck with directly asking some suppliers if they offer BIM files of their products.
Or if you need a workaround, you can get Collada files from sketchup's 3D warehouse

Thanks CosminF, Yes similar issue, most suppliers either don't support BIM or not in our native formats.
Thanks Barry, helpful as always. I have been through this list in the past most were not great, hopefully they have improved!
Will give them ago again.
https://www.modlar.com/ seems like may have some potential!
That and https://www.bimobject.com, seem to be the best.
Hopefully there is some other good sites out there not on the list...

Most of the GSM objects I have found online from various manufacturers have just been direct SKP or RVT conversions...

Thanks Lingwisyer, any specific manufacturers you have found to be good?
When converting from SKP or RVT does it still keep the actual information side of the object though? We are trying to use real world objects that have links back to the manufacturer and technical descriptions / installation instructions etc. Its not just an basic object we looking to use.
An example...

Roca seem to have some pretty good level of support.
The velux link shared before is even better, would recommend a download and try out.

Been too long since I have used any objects from manufactures... but when I say conversions, I meant that the 2D and 3D are not AC native, sometimes containing excessive lines and faces, but the manufacturers have usually had the relevant information and links scripted into the object afterwards. Other than the models being either low quality or overly heavy a lot of the time, I have had many occassions when said objects inject attributes and pollute files so I just try to avoid them since I do not need that level of detail or information for what I do.
