Board and batten siding.

Anybody have a recommendation for creating actual vertical board and batten siding, other than a picture of it to use with a material. I thought something like this might be in wall accessories, but no go. Found one on Objects Online, but for version 9. Perhaps something more current?

$900.00-not ready for that kind of investment for siding. Phew! Was hoping I had already bought it, just didn't know it yet. Also, don't know how I would do it with complex profiles.
Don't want to add many many small pieces to the model, trim them, etc. Too time consuming. Thought that might have already been created as a .gsm. Found one on object online, but it only good for V9.

thanks.

I think that's the Suite price. Alone it's $199 USD

Complex Profiles would work if the siding is horizontal, but since you specified board and batten, I'm guessing it's vertical.

Or shell out 149.00 USD and get your hands on the D3 Trim+Stair collection and use the "dentil straight" object to produce your Board and Batten Siding. Then use SEOs for where you have door and window openings. See attached image for example:

Take a look at OBJECTiVE. You can create a profile object of the siding which can be easily rotated and split in 3D, and can even be placed and cut directly in a section/elevation window. SEO works fine too if required, although OBJECTiVE's Split tool will handle most requirements better (e.g. it looks right in 2D and you get snap points along the cut). You will find many other uses for the tools beyond this application too: http://www.encina.co.uk/objective.html
