Can't change reveal side for doors and windows

THis is my first post. I hope someone can help.

I have placed walls, but when I try to place doors or windows, the revel side is not changing as i move the mouse through the wall. i.e. the sun icon showing exterior will not change to the other side of the wall.

Is there something in my settings I need to change?

The "flip" button is greyed out in "Preview and Positioning"

THis is really frustrating, as I used to be able to do this.

ANy help much appreciated.

The first click on the wall determines the side of the reveal (sun symbol).
If you want to change you mind before you complete the placement you can press the TAB button and this will swap the reveal to the other side of the wall.
