Can't import 3ds into archicad 28

Hello,

I have problems while importing 3ds model into Archicad  28, in Archive > Interoperability > there's no "import 3ds..."

I already installed Goodies Library

I already checked into Add Ons Menù, and 3D studio import is flagged

I already moved into "Menù"

In your opinion, which is the problem? What can I do?

Thank you all in advance

I don't think this was integrated recently. I don't see any 3DS-related commands in my Ac29 Work Environment (I do not have Goodies installed.)

Here is what the Ac29 Help file says:

3D Studio File (.3ds)

3D files can be saved in 3D Studio format. The Add-On required for this is part of the Archicad package.

3D files in 3D Studio format can be opened by Archicad only if you install the Goodies for your language version of Archicad.

I checked it as far back as Ac25 in the Help files, and this was the same even back in Ac25.

I can confirm what Laszlo has written.

The '3D Studio out' add-on (i.e. save as .3ds from the 3D window) is included as standard with Archicad.

The '3D Studio in' add-on is part of the Goodies add-on package and needs to be installed separately - even now in 29.

If it is installed properly it should be available in the 'Design > Design Extras' menu.

If it is not there (and the add-on is installed) it may be because you have a custom or old Work Environment.

You then either need to load a default WE or add the commands to your custom WE.

I added the Goodies to my INT installation just now and with all of the default WEs, it is still located under "File => Interoperability"...

Yes, it seems that is the default location - at least it is with the AUS template.

I actually have it in both menus (custom WE) and the add-on manager was showing me the default menu was Design > Design Options.

That is why I assumed that was the default location.

But not when I load the default WE.
