Custom Door Leaf/Panel not showing in Door Settings

Hi,

working in v17 & a custom door panel which i made with the slab tool isn't showing up in the pop-up menu within the Custom Panel leaf type.

I followed the instructions in the menu, & made sure that the library is loaded (no choice, seeing as i can only save it in the Embedded Library of the file). still, nothing shows up in the "Custom Panel Name" option.

i'm guessing this is very similar to this earlier query:
http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=35558&highlight=custom+door+leaf

I've recently installed the latest v17 Hotfix, but still didn't fix the issue.

Appreciate any help.

Does it make any difference if you make it 0mm from project zero instead of 461490mm?

Those kinda distances may mess with the GDL!

Cheers,

I've just done my first custom door leaf at 33540mm above project zero, that worked o.k. (not quite as far, I know).

brought the slab down to Zero level. resaved the door leaf. reloaded the libraries. still nothin.

Perhaps post a zipped module of the slab you're using? I can't replicate it either.

sorry, i'm not sure what you mean by "zipped module".

Sorry, copy the slab to the clipboard, go to File>Save As>Module File from Clipboard (*.mod). Then zip the file and upload it here as an attachment.

Sadly we can't attach straight mod files!

ok...see if this works. this is the first time i've created a module through this way.

Seems to work when you set the slab's renovation status to existing.

initially it was set to "Existing". perhaps as a default setting. but because the door is actually supposed to be a new element, i changed the slab to be New Construction. the Renovation status didn't really matter. it still doesn't show up.

thanks for the help. i might have to contact our local Graphisoft directly to get some tech support for this.

New as in you are doing a renovation project, or new as in it will be built from new along with the whole building?

That's the confusion with the Renovation term 'New'. It's only New in the context of a renovation, otherwise everything is New.

Bottom line, set everything to Existing if you are not doing a renovation project.

Have you tried setting it back to Existing? If that doesn't work I can just upload the leaf I made.

I don't think this is a bug as such.
