I would also like to add a custom door handle to a storefront door.
Have you had any luck doing that so far?

Yes
But if I wish to use the door "D1 storefront 1 11" in AC 11 for example, selecting a custom door handle is not an option.

Hello!
I would like to use a custom door handle but I am completely lost with this issue.
The handle must be created as a GDL object and placed in library, isn't it?
When creating the object, the "custom door handle" must be selected in "subtype".
And then, in Internal Door Settings > Door Panel > Handle > Custom Handle, it must appear.
Do you know of any examples of GDL door handles to donwload? I haven't found any.
Thank you!

I don't know if this is supposed to work like this or not.
I guess it should but I just don't know if it would appear as a selectable Door Handle in the Door Settings Dialog.
If you model something, select it and use the File\Libraries and Objects\Save Custom Component command and save with the Custom Door Handle option, it should appear as a selectable option.
Maybe you could do that and later modify the 3D Script of what you saved this way.
