Does anyone know if there is a simple way to make a diamond-shaped window? I am not finding the ability in the standard AC 28 windows available in the library.
There have been mentions of a "freeform window" object that was downloadable ~2009, for use in AC12. Is a similar updated object available for download?
My last resort will be to use the Library Part Maker to make a custom window, but as I know the size/shape is likely to change throughout the life of this project, I am hoping to not have to make repeated custom shapes.
TIA (thanks in advance?)!
Operating system used: Mac Apple Silicon Sequoia 15.4.1

Have a look in the "Special Windows' folder of your library.

You are using the Archicad 28 monolith library - that is actually just the Archicad 27 library.
But it looks to me like you also have the USA version maybe?
It is different to my AUS (INT) version that does have that window.
You could load the 28 global library packs, but that may get complicated if you are still using the old monolith library as well
It is best not to mix the 2, and there will be no migration of old 27 objects to the new 28 ones.
So if you remove the 27 libraries, you will have a lot of 'missing' objects that you will have to replace (manually).
You could load just the 'Doors and Windows' library pack, and you will also need the 'DW Macros' library pack.
If you need other dependent library packs, the Library manager will tell you.
Or you could do a search in the window settings for a 'freeform' window in BIMcomponents and download that.
I will allow any shape window.

Barry, thank you for your response. The "Rhombus Window" does not show up under my 'Special Windows' folder, neither does the "Skewed Window"... I do have a "Rhombus Window Opening", but no Rhombus Window.
I am attaching screenshots of the what my Window Selection Settings library folders looks like, and of my loaded libraries (I am in a TW file right now). My Window element library looks different from yours, can you tell if I have my libraries loaded wrong?
We updated to AC28 a few months ago, we followed the basic update procedure similar to past versions. I admit I do not quite understand the difference in the new "global library".

You could probably get it off BIMComponent?
