Door leaf shown as one line in plan

Sara Davoudi
Participant

I'm using archicad 26 and trying to get my door leaf shown with two lines. Even though I changed the Level of detail for the door to 1:50, still I get one line. I also changed the setting for model view. How can I solve this problem?
I'm using a German version but I hope the pictures are graphically understandable.

Hi @Sara Davoudi,

i can't understand German but in this door's selection settings you can go this part related to Opening Lines - 2D Symbolic Display - Override Model View Options then change straight line to curved one.

And if you want to change it from Model View Options :

In the MVO Dialog, under "Tür - Grundrisssymbol", try to choose another option, it is currently set to display the Door as one line.

Thanks for your response but it doesn't address my problem. What I'm looking for is a way to show the door leaf thickness as shown in the picture here.

Thanks Laszlo. I checked with all 5 options in Tür-Grundrisssymbol. Also removed the MVO override and tried in the door setting window. It doesn't affect this type of door or any other one on inherent archicad door library for that matter. I tried online libraries and I found a door that is shown as double line in the exact same setting as previous door.

This is my first full project using archicad so I don't know this: could it be that the door leaf in primary library in archicad are intended to be shown as one line?

If it was just about showing the door leaf thickness, it is possible to do so by swtiching this setting to not be symbolic

afterwards you can control the opening angle with the 3D-setting

But:

this might answer your question but it'll create a whole lot of other visual issues.

Das Türblatt ist nur sichtbar, wenn die Tür geschlossen ist. Dies kann in der Modelldarstellung eingestellt werden. Bei geöffneter Tür kann es nur als Linie dargestellt werden.

Translation...

The door leaf is only visible when the door is closed. This can be set in the model display. When the door is open it can only be displayed as a line.

Hi @Hemmerden,

Thanks for reply but pls translate into english as this is an international community not german one,

Thanks.

@Hemmerden

Please post only in English in the English version of the community.

What you say is not correct --- EDIT, although it is for the German and possibly other language versions.

The "Full' Model View Options show the door leaf in both the open and closed positions.

The door swing will show as you have set the door rotation in the object.

At least this is how it is with the AUS language version of the library.

EDIT

I am not sure if this is the same for the INT library as I no longer have it installed.

And here's the difference in the GER version:

The openend leaf option is still a line and is not showing the leaf's thickness.
