Embedding 2D Symbols to 3D Objects

Hi everyone,

Is there a way to add/embed 2D plant symbols to a 3D Plant Object? The 3D object I am currently using in my drawings has 8 2D symbols and I would like to add a 9th one into it.

I want to do so because I have already completed my planting plan and would like to replace the 2D symbols with a different for the already placed 3D object.

Yes it's possible,  you'll need to modify the 2d script of the object in the GDL editor. If you have some programming knowledge its pretty straightforward.

I would really need to do this because I have hundreds of plants from AutoCAD 2D drawing I need to replace with 3D objects. Could You please try to explain in detail how to do it, maybe even add a tutorial video if possible? Thanks!

The original poster wants to add additional 2D images to an already available 3D object.

You are asking for your 2D objects to be replaced with a 3D object.

You will need to manually swap them yourself for an appropriate 3D object that hopefully has the 2D symbol you also want (or are happy with).
