Eye-dropper transfer of params seems to not transfer them

I've got these two project files. Both use the same libraries. I pick the parameters of one window in project 1 with the eye-dropper, then switch to the other ArchiCAD running project 2 and Opt-Cmd click the window to make it identical to the one from project 1. Nothing changes.

Is it to do with the GUID philosophy? Do I need to keep something in mind? I'm really stumped and the problem is I face this kind of need (i.e. to transfer params between project files) a lot!!!

sorry, but Transfer Parameters only works within the same file/instance of Archicad.

The closest you could probably get would be to copy/paste an element from one session to another, then match it.

Many thanks, Tom! I did a copy/paste of the wall containing the window, then param-transferred (is that a word?...) and it worked.

However, I still have a project with two doors, one on story 1 and one on story 2, and parameter transfer doesn't work. The clicks all take place, but door 2 doesn't end up identical to door 1.

Comment, anyone?
