How to store IFC properties in Tags & categories with Object

Hi all;
Done about an hour of research online and can't find a concrete answer anywhere...
We just started building our office library and have used Sketchup extensively before. We have a pretty good SU library with low poly models of plumbing fixtures, appliances etc etc. and are creating custom AC objects with them. Now my question is, when creating a new object, how do I save the IFC information so it saves with the object? When selecting object with correctly saved IFC info in tags & categories field and save selection as object into our office library, the IFC properties are not saved with this object. What am I doing wrong?

Try saving the favorite for the object, and then load the object from favorite.
