Master ID of object (not label)

Anybody knows how to query the hotlink master ID in an object gdl script?
I know how it works in labels, but I need it in an object.
Your help would be much appreciated.

REQUEST ("Full_ID_of_parent", "", id_string)

On reading the description for that request maybe that is just for annotation elements like labels as you have tried already.
