hi there, i found a label online (label JM16 if anyone knows of it) that will allow me to create callout labels, sort of, but now that i've downloaded it, i have no idea how to import it. it's no good as an object, there are no associative features. is there a way to import into the label tool?

Is this that Object ?
If yes this is not a label, only a 2D Object.
For an object to be a label his Sub-Type must be set to "Label".
You can change the Sub-Type of this object (work on a copy) but this won't be sufficient for it to work as a real label.
You can then choose it in the label Tool and associate it with an element like any label but it won't automatically display element information as his 2D script isn't programmed to do it. You'll have to adapt the script to extract and display the information you need.

Hi
You can have a look to this:
https://help.graphisoft.com/AC/26/INT/_AC26_Help/070_Documentation/070_Documentation-84.htm
With an indipendent label you have the opportunity to choose "load other label"
You can try if this works for you!
Greetings,
Matteo.

Hi
Can you share the label?
If you upload it as object , it's possible or not? Does it appear grey too?
What kind of label you need ? Maybe we can create a proper one
All the best,
Matteo

Hi,
Normally, if this is an object saved as a label, add it to your project object library and the label should appear in the label tool options.

Hi if you need just a recall number or letter you can place a independent label with a custom text:
Otherwise there is also this add-on:

Have a good day,
