- look OK when I check the 3D view in the Library Part window,
- look OK when I place the object in the model, select the object and get the 3D view of the object only,
- look OK when I select the object along with other objects and get the 3D view, but
- don't show some pieces (like: lower trunk) when I make a 3D view without selecting them.
It is not a material problem --the same material shows OK in other parts of the object. It is defintely not a RAM problem. Any idea what may be going on?

Are you taking them in the marquee maybe?
I use the marquee all the time to export models of fragments to Artlantis, so the problem is still a problem, but it is great to know what problem the problem is! : ) Thank you very much.

Try placing any of the cars from the Tranportation library found on the 7.0 Aniiversary Edition (AKA Silver Bullet) Bonus CD - same problem. Tyres go missing and so on ...
Marquee checks the model in much more detail than "normal" 3D, so some COONS can disapear ... we had a similar problem recently with chairs imported as 3DS.
I would advise making selections sets instead of marquee, until it is solved ...

Would this be a similar problem to the stairs not showing up when you use the Marque?
