License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. Slow GDL editor ArchiCAD 16

Hello,

I have found the ArchiCAD 16 GDL editor to be extremely slow. Too
laggy for any productive work.

Just opening any GDL editor window or editing 2D symbol makes the
program consume a huge amount of memory and you have to wait
a minute just to change between windows.

If you create a new object everything works fine until you save it
the first time, after that it's laggy again.

Does anyone else have this problem?

The picture below shows memory consumption. Upper one happens
when changing between windows.

Hi Juha,
did you mean (for example) from "Parameters" to "Master Script" window in GDL Editor?
No lags hear!

Hello Andro,

Thanks for response.

For example if I have 2D script and 3D script windows
open and just click another - it takes a minute to 'activate'
the clicked one. The GDL editor is very laggy in every action 😞

Juha:

I am not experiencing any delays in the GDL editing environment, we are on the same operating system. I have no idea what could cause this.

Hi!

Experiencing the same here!

Juha, you're likely using the Finnish Archicad also? - could there be a language specific bug?

Yep, switched to INT version of v16, no slowdown!

Hello pejotu,

Thanks for the tip. I must abandon the FIN version for a while.
