Solar angle model library part request

Here's a suggestion for someone who feels like making a really cool library part that I bet we could all use.

Look at the attached picture. The idea is to make a part that you can place in plan, orient to project north (or have it read it from model) and put in your time and place, et voila! It spits out the azimuth in plan, and show up in sections and your model(sun optional). Alternatively, it would be hyper-cool if you could drag the azimuth in plan, and have the altitude change.

This would need to read the project's location from global variables, and not sure how to get the info about the sun angles. It might be acceptable to have to punch in some numbers to get the correct angle to show in 3d. But nowhere near as fun.

Much as I love Archicad's sun studys (despite their inaccuracies), sometimes you need something that will quickly and easily show you how the sun moves acts on the site.

If you know of one that already exists, please point me to it.

Thanks.

This object is (with more or less of requested features) in my library. Maybe I can create a project page on opengdl tonight.

That already looks pretty good.

Any chance you'd be willing to upload it to the GDL depository?

Danke!
