I am just guessing: since there are Wall Openings (Doors, Windows) and Roof Openings (Skylight) which cut their hole automatically into the element they are placed over or into.
I can imagine in the future there will be a drop-door or trap-door objcet that can be inserted into a Slab. When it is moved in the Slab, the hole cut into the slab is automatically moved with it.
Similar objects may be created for Meshes as well.
So maybe the technology base is there in GDL but it is not fully implemented yet.
