Text in 3D

How do I place text on the floor of a model. The 3d text option only allows the user to make text standing vertical but does not allow text to lay flat on ground surfaces. What are my options.

Use the "rotate around X" parameter to lay it flat (set to 0). Doesn't show text in plan view though, and this is probably what you're after.

actually had to make the text out of slabs........ I guess the next upgrade or version
