Is there a simple bit of code I can insert into the script of my library part to make this possible?
No worries if not, but it would be interesting to know about it if there is
Thanks in advance
Joel

I have never tested it but I'd be guessing it has something to do with the WALLHOLE command.
So therefore only available to doors and windows.

I would be interested in knowing this as well. Quite often I 'enhance' the existing door and window library parts with objects and/or custom profile beams.
I've searched the manual before on being able to add some sort of status code, but couldn't find anything. (Maybe the object ID?)
My work around for the time is to hit 'fly-mode' whenever I encounter an obstacle in my pre-recorded paths. Hotkey = F.

Yes, that's exactly what I've been doing (the 'fly' mode trick), which is fine when I'm controlling the view, but when we give it to a client, obviously it's a pain to explain it every time…
I was hoping there would be a trick in the labelling or the scripting, but I can't find it anywhere online and no-one has come forward yet with one.

VBE allows you to walk through doors and windows. Solution: make your object a door or window. You can do this by assigning the subtype of door or window to your object. Open the object and view the main dialog. On the right above corner there is a button Select Subtype. Click it and browse to Model Element / Opening / Wall Opening / Door (Wall) and then OK.

You will have to add a small wall then insert as a door or window.
Not very logical (although it may work).
I wonder if there is a special ID that might work like ZLIMITS for a slab to set the limits of the model - there is nothing in the Graphisoft documentation about any special ID's.
Maybe something like ZHOLE would be handy.
