For what it is worth, I don't have these option available at all. Not in the Dutch library or from the part on BIMcomponents https://bimcomponents.com/GSM/Details/16108
Maybe it is something from a MEP addon?

I tried to change dimensions of ducts possibly related to the hood, but did not get to change the hood connection.

Durval:
I took a brief look at the Parameter Script, and it looks like the connection size is based on the hood type, and in some cases (such as the hood type in your screen shot) those dimensions are fixed and locked. If you cannot use another hood type, then you could try editing the Scripts.
