You can open the 3d program and chage settings there, or you can save the object as .3ds, which gives you parameters to change the appearance.

Thanks. But which 3D program would that be. Also, am downloading as a .skp file directly into Archicad.....don't see where I can save it as .3Ds file.

Select the imported .skp -object, choose 3d window and save it as .3ds. Then You must have the 3DStudio In.apx installed in Archicad in order to import the .3ds file.
