.skp materials

I've downloaded a sketchup model. Is there any way to change the materials without changing it into a morph. Have attempted to change to morph but I get a caution message that says the morph will be very complicated and will slow down the program. Don't want to do that so am looking for Plan B.

Thanks.

You can open the 3d program and chage settings there, or you can save the object as .3ds, which gives you parameters to change the appearance.

Thanks. But which 3D program would that be. Also, am downloading as a .skp file directly into Archicad.....don't see where I can save it as .3Ds file.
Tom.

Select the imported .skp -object, choose 3d window and save it as .3ds. Then You must have the 3DStudio In.apx installed in Archicad in order to import the .3ds file.
