specific type of window in Archicad

Hello,

I would like to ask for advice on the fastest and simplest way to model a specific window configuration in Archicad.

I need to replace an existing window type across a large project with a three-panel window, where the two panels on the left are fixed, and the right panel is an operable sash with a transom above it. The key requirement is that the transom is only above the rightmost sash, while the two left panels remain full height.

Because this change needs to be applied across a large building complex, I am mainly looking for the most efficient workflow to replace the existing window type with this configuration.
I have already gone through the available library objects, including the LibPack libraries and various window settings, but I could not find a configuration that allows a transom only above the rightmost panel.

What would be the best and quickest approach to achieve this?

Thank you.

Operating system used: Windows

Create your own window object by modelling it as slabs and then selecting and saving as a window object.

It won't be parametric, so if you have different sizes you will need to repeat the process.

Library Part Maker add-on can help if you want to use the Model View Option Level of Detail settings.

Hi @ViliamS

You could use a curtain wall with a door panel.

You can use Archicad's windows to do this.

I don't have the English (INT) version open right now but here are the settings to change

- Variable window. Make sure that in shape you have the same boxes checked as in the picture here

- Next tab (openings I believe it is). Make sure that the first one is the operable sash, the next one is the fixed pane and the last one is the fixed glass

 - in the frame option tab (sorry if it's named something else). Make sure that you use the option showed below

Hope you can managed. If not, I'll reupload with the English version later (if I don't forget)

Hi @ViliamS

You can use a Door with Sidelight on Side 2 and Transom, change its shape so Sidelight is Over Transom and edit sash of sidelight so it is H-V Grid, then edit vertically panes as 1 and horizontally as 2. You can edit grid width and thickness so it gets along with the rest of frames.

If you need a window then use Window with Sidelight, the options are similar, as @marcoariveross and @B_Migito mentioned.

Instead of using the H-V Grid, it is better to use the Divided Frame option as that will use your frame settings rather than a bead centered on the glazing panel. For what ever reason, this sash type is not available for windows...
