3 Unique Wall Intersection

Anonymous

I have an intersection of 3 walls and at point 4, I really want the purple to connect. It has higher priority, but it still won't work. Any pointers what I can read up on to tackle such a wall. I have quite a few such walls.

Just as a point of clarification (and hoping not to derail the discussion too much) Does the Model / Junction Order number in the wall settings menu come into play here at all? I've never been able to get that to behave in a predictable manner.

Possibly, but my understanding is that this only has an effect if all 3 (or more?) reference lines end at exactly the same point.
Then those walls with the higher junction orders trim first.

Actually it does affect just 2 walls as well - but they will always trim each other anyway.
Now in 22 the plan trims based on the building material strength rather than just mitring the corner as it did in 21 and before.
So now if you have 2 walls and the building material strengths are the same, you can determine which wall will cut which.
We could never see the difference before with just a mitre.

I find that Junction Order is only relevant between objects/parts that have the same Intersection Priority and only becomes noticeable when you have different finishes and/or have a junction consisting of more than 2 entities and/or when you have End Surfaces toggled off.

Ok, great; thanks, I've gotten closer. They now intersect, but somehow there's a triangle in there, which I'm not sure why it's there.

The blue material has the lowest priority of them all.
